Be sure you are eating FAT everyday! You read that right—really! Just like protein and fiber, our bodies need FAT everyday to perform efficiently and stay healthy. I was reminded of this fact yesterday by my friend Steph at Red Blossom Wellness (who kicked my butt in a boot camp class that morning). I was slumping over her kitchen table telling her all the things I had eaten that day, and how I still felt shaky and a little sick. I had eaten plenty of protein, fruits, veggies—all fresh whole food, but ZERO fat. Healthy fats are a major source of our energy, provide essential fatty acids, deliver fat-soluble vitamins, and are needed for our growth and development.
